Your preferences stay
on your device

By default, LumiBible does not require an account: your data stays on your device. With an account, you’ll choose what gets synced via cloud backup. LumiBible includes no advertising or analytics tracking, and shares nothing with third parties. This page simply explains what data is handled and why.

What is sent to our servers

LumiBible talks to our servers in exactly two cases:

Downloading a Bible

A plain file request retrieves the Bible translations (/manifest.json, /bibles/…). No personal data is sent.

When you contact us

If you use the app’s "Support" screen or the contact form, we receive your message, its category, and optionally a way to reach you back — only if you give us one.

Why this data

This information is used only to:

  • Download the files needed to read the Bibles.
  • Read your report, fix the problem, and reply if you left a contact.
  • Improve the app’s stability and security.

What stays on your device

Most of your data never leaves your device:

Favourite verses

Viewed locally on your device.

Reading preferences

Theme, text size, font, etc.

History and settings

Kept on your device, never tied to an account.

Retention

Reports are kept only as long as they’re useful for bug tracking. You can request their deletion at any time via the contact page.

Technical logs

Like any web server, requests are briefly logged (IP address, method, timestamp) for security and diagnostics — never cross-referenced with your use of the app.

Cloud backup

Your notes, audio recordings and favourite verses can be backed up to your own personal cloud (Google Drive, iCloud) so you can find them again on several devices. This backup never passes through this server — it’s covered by Google’s or Apple’s own privacy policy, not ours.

External services

This page uses no advertising or analytics tracking tool. Fonts (Outfit, Crimson Pro) are loaded from Google Fonts — one request to Google per visit, needed to display them.
