Para o mestre de música. Com instrumentos de cordas. Uma contemplação de Davi, quando os zifeus vieram e disseram a Saul: “Davi não está se escondendo entre nós?” Salva-me, ó Deus, pelo teu nome.
Faze-me justiça pelo teu poder.

Ouve a minha oração, ó Deus.
Escuta as palavras da minha boca.

Pois estranhos se levantaram contra mim.
Homens violentos buscam a minha alma.
Eles não colocaram Deus diante de si. Selá.

Eis que Deus é o meu ajudador.
O Senhor é quem sustenta a minha alma.
5
Ele retribuirá o mal aos meus inimigos.
Destrói-os na tua verdade.
6
Com uma oferta voluntária, sacrificarei a ti.
Darei graças ao teu nome, SENHOR, pois é bom.
7
Pois ele me livrou de toda angústia.
Meu olho viu o triunfo sobre os meus inimigos.

To the chief Musician on Neginoth, Maschil, A Psalm of David, when the Ziphims came and said to Saul, Doth not David hide himself with us? Save me, O God, by thy name, and judge me by thy strength.

Hear my prayer, O God; give ear to the words of my mouth.
3
For strangers are risen up against me, and oppressors seek after my soul: they have not set God before them. Selah.
4
Behold, God is mine helper: the Lord is with them that uphold my soul.
5
He shall reward evil unto mine enemies: cut them off in thy truth.
6
I will freely sacrifice unto thee: I will praise thy name, O LORD; for it is good.
7
For he hath delivered me out of all trouble: and mine eye hath seen his desire upon mine enemies.
